Summer Care Butter is individually handcrafted using natural good stuff: Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Olive Oil, Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Avocado Oil, Cocoa Seed Butter, Zinc Oxide, Red Raspberry Seed Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Argan Oil, Neem Oil.
Each of the ingredients we use has some degree of natural sun protection. The dilemma in creating a natural sunburn preventative is there is one, yes, ONE ingredient that offers any true sun protection that is considered natural. Good old zinc oxide.

All Natural Good Stuff
Zinc oxide is a powdered form mineral that adds a layer of protection to your horse’s skin. Zinc Oxide has been used for decades (or longer) in human sunscreens and infant diaper protection creams. We feel it is the safest and most effective sunscreen active ingredient available. Zinc Oxide is the only active ingredient we use in any of our products. Together these hard-working ingredients amplify the sun shade properties of each other.

Using Summer Care Butter
Apply as needed for summer sun exposure both before and after, paying special attention to the area around the eyes, ears, muzzle and any white areas that are prone to sun issues.
Please ensure your horse has adequate access to shade (and fresh water) at all times, but especially during the summer.

Natural Sun Protection
When using natural and organic ingredients for sun care purposes many variables are involved in how each individual ingredient works, including absorption rate, application methods and frequency. That is why we don’t use human calibrated SPF numbers, as they don’t correlate to your horse’s needs.

We've been using this for the last couple years for our adventure kitty's paw pads and boy does it work WONDERS, even after the first application. We also use it to remove sap that has hardened and stuck to his fur and his paws without having to bring out the scissors!!! LITERAL MAGIC. Massage it into the sap for a bit and it begins to crumble the hardened sap!! It does take time and five minutes of patience from our boy but it is SO helpful. Thank you for an amazing product!!!!!
I only used this product once so I can't say for long term results, I do have a cat with skin issues been dealing with it for 6 years, I have tried a lot of medicated cat shampoos, I decided to try this one, it did make her fur really soft and shiny even the vet said she looks good but it didn't get rid of her dandruff, Usually when I use medicated shampoo's it helps get rid of the dandruff for at least a few days, she had dandruff the next day, but like I said I only used it once..I will try it again

I got this for my cat who’s been experiencing a dry nose and paws. The summer has been brutally hot in southern Louisiana and we believe our dehumidifiers are the main culprit for her dryness. We got this hoping that it would help relieve any discomfort she’s been having. Holy cow! This stuff is not only super easy to apply but it WORKS!!! Consistency is key and after less than a week of daily application, her rough, dry paws now look hydrated, supple, and cool to the touch! Same thing with her adorable nose! It’s got that shine again! We can definitely tell that she seems much more comfortable! Thank you so much for this product and the mini bundle was a great way for us to test all of the balms! È un buon profumo per cani che accompagna i suoi movimenti. Credo sia da usare con parsimonia perché i cani non amano profumi troppo dolci
I like the fact that the product is all natural. It does have to be applied regularly through the day though until you get to the required results and then periodic applications.
